OUR SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM

The Christian Closet partners with Affirming Therapy, a non-profit organization that raises funds to make high quality counseling accessible to the LGBTQ+ community by providing up to 12 subsidized therapy or coaching sessions for those who are unable to access affirming mental health care because of financial barriers.

OUR COMMITMENT TO ACCESSIBILITY

We believe every LGBTQ+ person deserves access to affirming therapy and coaching. With limited scholarship resources, our goal is to support as many individuals as we can. That's possible when applicants approach this process with honesty and mutual care.

As part of the application, we'll ask what you're realistically able to contribute toward the cost of your therapy or coaching. Whatever amount you can contribute, we'll do our best to meet you there and cover the rest. When setting this amount, we ask that you be as thoughtful as your circumstances allow.

Every dollar you contribute helps to support your own healing and allows us to extend care to more LGBTQ+ individuals who might not otherwise be able to access these services.  In that spirit, please complete this application with honesty and care. Whether your contribution is partial or full, it helps play a vital role in making healing possible for you and others.

OUR COMMITMENT TO CONFIDENTIALITY

While all answers are required, the answers you provide on this application are confidential.  They will only be shared with your potential clinician and the board members of Affirming Therapy as a means of making a determination about your application.  Thank you for answering with honesty and vulnerability.

To get started, if you have not already done so, please schedule a free consultation with one of our therapists. During the consultation, the therapist will learn more about what you’re looking for and can help determine if we’re the right fit for you. If it feels like a good match, they’ll then guide you through the scholarship application process. Request a Free Consultation
