Rae Pittman (she/they)

Hi, I’m Rae Pittman! I’m a queer, disabled, former Southern Baptist Poster Child turned rebel with lived experience in several Christian traditions as well as other belief systems. My goal is to help you stop feeling overwhelmed and depressed and start guiding you to where things feel manageable again.

I specialize in helping women and femme neurodivergent clients and their loved ones better understand and navigate the specific ways neurodivergency (especially autism) impact daily life and relationships.

My life experiences led me to become the therapist I am today. Initially drawn to this career because of my own trauma history, I discovered after becoming a therapist that I felt comfortable with my autistic/ADHD friends because I too shared those identities. I had gone over 30 years (including a few as a therapist) without an accurate understanding of myself! My special interest has become tailoring mental health support to be as effective as possible not only for neurodivergent people but also for the people who love us.

Being a therapist is an honor. I love helping people become healthier and more empowered and seeing them finally getting the life they desire. The most rewarding thing about this work is seeing a person walk away lighter, more free, and excited about their life. I am committed to guiding you to where things feel manageable again.

Our sessions will provide you with the space to explore your thoughts, feelings, and goals. You and I will be able to gain clarity and be understood and heard. It’s important to me to provide a non-judgmental space where you can be yourself and stay open to any feedback and questions you may have.

There isn’t a one size fits all approach to therapy and coaching. Our sessions will fit your specific needs and concerns, working from the beliefs and values you hold. I think it’s important, though, for my clients to have a little insight into who I am as a human being: I believe empathy can change the world. I believe therapy’s true goal is liberation for all. I believe we have a body and nervous system designed to handle the discomfort of doing hard things (like going to therapy and making lasting changes). I believe you are worthy of love and care. I believe people underestimate their ability to change. It’s possible to change: it’s possible to enjoy life again.

I earned a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and afterwards achieved my Masters in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. I hold an independent license (LPC) in the state of Arkansas and provide coaching to neurodivergent individuals and their loved ones nationwide.

My fee is $215 per session.
